I love making handmade gifts for people. This year, one of my goals is to give only handmade gifts. I found quite a few tutorials for little art caddies on Pinterest a long time ago. Here is the tutorial that I use which also includes a pdf download of the tutorial. Both fabrics are exclusive to Jo-Ann's.

I made one around this time last year for a friend's daughter. This year, I made one for a neighbor's daughter. I really love how this one turned out. That flowery fabric is adorable and I have a bit of leftover material to make something else. This is the first project that I used my edger foot on my sewing machine. I am in love with this little foot. I recently found a 1/4" piecing foot that has a guide on it that I had to have and I am hoping that it really helps with my piecing work. I made a real quilt for my sister, but I am going to wait to share it until it makes it to her house (it's a really late Christmas present). If you're reading this Cara - now you know what you're waiting on - hope you like it!

The sweet little girl who received this really loved it. She even opened the present and started drawing right away. :)
