Merry Christmas Quilted Square Card

Merry Christmas quilted card

Recently, I participated in a card swap put together by the lovely Carson from Pine & Plum. I have loved receiving some handmade cards this year. I thought this week that I would share the cards that I sent out and then share the ones that I received. This card was sent to Carson. I also included a handmade envelope along with a few stamps because it's a square, heavy card.

Here's my process:

I used a few pieces of my Studio Calico 6x6 paper pads. I have them all torn apart now, so I am not certain which papers are from the exclusive December Daily pad and which ones are from the Wonderland pad. I did a little bit of math to calculate how to cut and make the quilt pattern on a 6x6 inch square. Then, I designed the particular squares and rectangles in my Silhouette software and cut the necessary pieces. I adhered them down on Scor-Tape strips placed every inch along the length of the card. I also designed and cut the tag sentiment with my Cameo and then adhered it down with a few 3D foam pieces. I mounted the quilted piece on to a 6x6 inch card base.
