Recently, I participated in a card swap put together by the lovely Carson from Pine & Plum. I have loved receiving some handmade cards this year. I thought this week that I would share the cards that I sent out and then share the ones that I received. I believe this one was sent to Canada.
Here's my process:
I used a few pieces of my Studio Calico 6x6 paper pads. I have them all torn apart now, so I am not certain which papers are from the exclusive December Daily pad and which ones are from the Wonderland pad. I cut a bunch of triangles with my Cameo. I also designed and cut the banner piece with my Cameo.
Now, when I make my quilted cards, I am laying down strips of Scor-Tape in the center of where the triangle would be. For this card, I laid down 7 tape strips vertically across my 5 inch by 7 inch kraft cardstock piece. I like this process a little bit better than the Glue Dots because the triangles do not shift when I sew the pieces down. I should probably buy stock in Scor-Tape soon. It has become my very favorite adhesive and will be stocking up again soon. Also, I used Glossy Accents to put down any little corners that may have popped up.
Once, the 5x7 inch piece was quilted, I adhered (again with Scor-Tape) to a kraft cardstock base. Lastly, I adhered my sentiment piece with 3D foam dots for dimension.

So pretty and intricate! Great job!
ReplyDeleteLove how you used the negative cut over the stitched paper.
